Yoga, the timeless gift of India's ancient sages, promotes harmony between the mind, body, and soul. It is a powerful practice that helps individuals lead a healthy, balanced, and purposeful life.
On the occasion of International Yoga Day, a grand yoga programme was organized at Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, Annavaram, located in the sacred village of Annavaram, one of the holiest pilgrimage destinations in India. The event was celebrated with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and teachers.
The students performed a variety of yoga asanas with remarkable discipline and confidence, showcasing the benefits of yoga for physical fitness, flexibility, and overall well-being. They also demonstrated Pranayama, highlighting how controlled breathing helps calm the mind, improve concentration, and reduce stress.
Under the expert guidance of Yoga Instructor Mrs. U. Lavanya, the students performed each posture with precision and grace. Their excellent presentation reflected the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life.
Addressing the gathering, Headmaster Sri D. L. P. Raju spoke about the significance of yoga, meditation, and healthy eating habits. He emphasized that regular meditation helps develop inner peace, mental clarity, and emotional balance. He further highlighted that yoga is not only a treasured part of India's cultural heritage but also a globally embraced practice that promotes health, peace, and inner strength.
The celebration inspired students to adopt yoga as a daily habit and reflected Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan's commitment to nurturing both academic excellence and holistic development.
