Objective : Visit to a supermarket to understand the exchanging of money in real life.
As a part of field trip , children of class-3,have visited Penmudi's Supermarket to understand the concept 'Money'.
They have observed different grocery items such as wheat floor ,pulses, rice bags, oil, spices like cardamom, pepper, cloves etc.They viewed soaps, shampoos, tooth paste, perfumes and so on . After observing these all things , children have known that there is a price tag on every item. They also learnt the billing process .They have noticed the columns of a bill like serial number , name of the item , quantity,cost of the item and
total amount .They have also noted the prices of five items with the help of teacher and the shop keepers. They have understood that there are different payment methods like cash,Phone pay, and Google pay . Children have experienced payment of the bill using the addition and subtraction of money transaction . They could calculate the total amount paid and left over money.
