Objective:
To make the children understand the dairy farming - the way milk products supplied to people. We have taken grade 4 children to Madhura dairy farm on a field trip.
There children come to know the Pasteurization of milk ,separation of cream from milk and packing of milk, curd and buttermilk . Children observed the milk products like cheese, ghee, paneer are processed. In the diary farm they enquired about the number of cows and buffaloes . They also collected the information about the quantity of milk supplied to the hostel children , to Tuni town and villages near by. They have understood the different breeds of cows and buffaloes such as Haryana, Murrah etc.They also viewed the biogas plant which produces biogas with the animal waste. This trip made the students experience the way farm animals are taken care by providing shelter, good fodder and health care in dairy farms.
