To explore how rice reaches our plates and to promote experiential learning, Grade-3 students and teachers visited Satya Ganapathi Rice Mill, Namavaram. The aim of the trip was to provide hands on experience about the stages involved in rice processing.
At the rice mill, students interacted with the workers and observed the entire process from removing the husk to polishing the rice. They saw various machines in action and were amazed to learn how raw Paddy is cleaned, dried and converted into the rice we eat every day.
Students were curious to explore more about the tools and machines used. All the students enjoyed the visit and shared that it was an exciting and educational experience.
