Banking awareness programme was conducted by HDFC Bank officials as part of the 'Athidhi' programme for class 5 students 28th August 2023 at Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan Annavarm.
Mr M. Sivaganga the deputy bank manager of HDFC bank Annavaram branch and his staff explained how the banking system works. He gave the details of all the types of accounts , they are `savings account' `current account'and `savings account for miners'. He insisted every child to have an account for their accademic usage . HDFC sales manager K Ravi Babu explained the different types of loans which can be given by HDFC bank. They are 'personal loans' `vehicle loans' `home loans `education loans ' and agriculture loans. Other staff members gave the details of basic investments, insurance and pension schemes . Most of the young children asked many questions about `net banking ' and `education loans '. Bank officials clarified the doubts of the children in detailed . In this awareness programme, the deputy bank manager M Sivaganga , sales officer Y Sunil , agriculture wing M Ajay Kumar and other staff members attended the programme and made it successful.
The Head Master of Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan , Annavarm campus stressed the importance of savings and insisted every child to have a personal account. He expressed his heartful thanks to HDFC Bank officials for throwing the light on Banking System and how it helps the people.
