Sri Prakash Educational Institutions celebrated their 49th Foundation Day with a grand musical fest, Gata Rahe Mera Dil, at Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, Tuni, on 18th and 19th. The two-day musical competition was filled with enthusiasm, high spirits, and mesmerizing melody, as young voices lit up the stage, vying for top honours.
The 19th edition of the popular Gata Rahe Mera Dil brought together young singing talents from all Sri Prakash schools and colleges. Students, divided into Junior and Senior groups, sang with passion and energy, winning the hearts of the audience with their melodious voices.
The event became even more special with the presence of well-known personalities from the music world. Famous playback singer Smt Kousalya, a three-time Nandi Awardee, joined as the Chief Guest and Judge. The star attraction was Smt Kousalya’s soulful singing which carried the audience into a sublime world of playback numbers.
Her performance was not just a recital—it was an endearing experience. Known for the effortless grace with a magnetic stage presence and deep emotional connection, she held the audience in rapt attention. leaving everyone present not only entertained but deeply moved. She infused the atmosphere with inspiration, reminding the young Prakashites of the power of passion and dedication, in shaping their bright future.
Sri Durga Prasad Ratho, an accomplished keyboard player Smt R. Sunita, a B high grade artist, All India Radio, Sri N. Ravi Shekar, Organiser, Millennium orchestra were the Guests of Honour and the members of jury, making the celebration for two mesmerizing days truly memorable.
The students of Sri Prakash Educational Institutions, in both Junior and Senior categories, enthralled the audience with soulful renditions of Maestro Ilaya Raja’s timeless tunes and the lyrical beauty of Anand Bakshi. Their performances reflected a wide range of moods and emotions, keeping the hall alive with music. The budding talents were enlightened with priceless professional tips for further improvement.
Adding splendour to the evening, the guest experts gave electrifying performances. Sri Durga Prasad Ratho amazed the crowd with his mastery of mellifluous flow on the keyboard, while Smt R. Sunita charmed listeners with her captivating message through her soothing voice. Sri N. Ravi Shekar’s lightning-fast keyboard play had the audience on their feet.
Speaking on the occasion, Sri Ch. Vijay Prakash, Joint Secretary, SPES, inspired the students to set clear goals, pursue them with determination, and work with discipline. He emphasized that such efforts will surely elevate them to professional heights, no matter whatever their chosen field is.
The musical gala witnessed 24 participants in the Junior category and 12 in the Senior category, all competing with passion and talent. The winners were felicitated by Chief Guest Smt Kousalya. In the Juniors category, V Surya Siddarth secured the first prize. Lasya Priya, Lakshmi Nikitha and Swathi stood in 2nd, 3rd and 4th places respectively. while in the Seniors category Raghavendra won the first prize and Rajesh, Sai sri and Yaswanth claimed the 2nd, 3rd and 4th places .
Celebrating the expertise of the eminent guests, Sri Ch. Vijay Prakash, Joint Secretary, SPES, honoured the jurists and the Chief Guest with mementos. The grand event drew a large gathering of students, parents, staff, and well-wishers, all of whom enjoyed Gata Rahe Mera Dil—a truly unique and memorable musical celebration.
