National Children Science Congress

The State Level Event of 23rd National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC) organized by Andhra Pradesh State Council of Science & Technology (APCOST) concluded today here at in the august campus of Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, Diwan Cheruvu, Rajahmundry  with the budding Child Scientists, Guide Teachers, District Coordinators, District Academic Coordinators  and Organizers participating in the event with great devotion and scientific attitude.

 

Sri Ravi Kumar, IFS, Conservator of Forests, Rajahmundry participating as the Chief Guest, said that the development – ecology never fit in one scabbard.  We have to bring awareness about the global warming  among the present generations.  Growing population brings lot of pollution in all spheres of the globe. The only solution for pollution is to plant the more number of plants in and around of  our  locality.  Teachers as well students and Scientists should project their experiments towards integration of  nature – people. 

 

 

Further, he added that sincerity, devotion to work and thirst for new knowledge are the three most important aspects in everybody’s life and these will only determine the growth and prosperity in life.  Students are the builders of future India and with their continuous persuasion towards knowledge and research, India will advance in all spheres and become a superior Nation in the World, he hoped. The State Government has taken an initiative, in the form of NCSC, for developing the innate skills and talents of the students for depicting their scientific temper and outlook. 

Sri Ravi Kumar Garu, Chief Guest  and Sri Abraham, Guest of Honour presented the certificates & Mementos to the selected Child Scientists and wished them best of luck in the National Level Event. 

Presiding over the valedictory function Sri T.Pampapathi, Member Secretary, APCOST informed that the participation from the districts was overwhelming and advised the students, guide teachers and District Coordinators to continue the same tempo to benefit the society.  He said that  105 Child Scientists have presented their projects before the jury members on 12 – 13 December,2015 and  17 Projects are selected for participation at the National Level Event to be held at Chandigarh University, Chandigarh during 27-31 December 2015  (17 projects list enclosed).  

Honorary Guest, Sri S.Abraham, Dy.District Educational Officer said that these projects that are exhibited here are very much useful in their regular studies for CCE Evaluation for students. Every one is expected to change their living style based on the weather, which is changing drastically from time to time. 

Further, he added that  the Science is very interesting when we closely follow it, trying to verify the efficacy of the scientific principles and applying them for solving societal problems.  He emphasized that  great scientists such as Newton, Galileo, Einstein, Edison, Marie Curie etc., are being remembered for generations together and also for the past many centuries, mainly due to their remarkable scientific achievements that led to welfare of mankind.

Honorary Guest, Joint Secretary, Sri Prakash Educational Institutions,  Rajahmundry suggested the students  to emulate great scientists and leaders and shape their careers to receive accolades from the highest bodies in the World. 

Principal, Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, Rajahmundry expressed their happiness about hosting the State Level Event of 23rd  NCSC- 2015  in their institution and thanked APCOST for choosing the institution for this event.
