Students from Grade 2 of Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan Annavarm were accompanied to S V V S S Devastanam Arboretum by their science on 31st August 2023. The students witnessed a variety of colourful and aromatic flowers, leaves and fruits. They inquisitively asked the gardeners how they take care of the tender plants. The gardeners Ganga , Manga and Kondala Rao explained what the precautions they take to protect and nourish the plants . Students experienced the preparation of vermicompost that is used to nourish the plants. Children became versed with different parts of plants and their benefits as well . They were responsible and refrained themselves from touching the plants and plucking flowers and leaves. The field trip sensitised the students towards the importance of planting more saplings. They shared their experiences with other students very happily and were very inquisitive to know more about plants.
