Awareness on women safety guidelines

SPACES Degree college conducted an awareness programme on Guidelines for Women Safety on August 24, 2024. The awareness programme was organized by Women Empowerment Cell. The guest of day was S.Venkata Laskhmi, police constable, Payakaraopeta.

The guest elaborated the rights of the women and dispelled the doubts of the female students as well as faculty members. She also shared valuable tips and guidelines to ensure the safety and security.

Instructions and Suggestions:

1. Trust your instincts: If you feel uncomfortable or sense of danger, trust your instincts and take action.
2. Stay connected: Share your location and itinerary with friends and family.
3. Be aware of surroundings: Pay attention to your environment and avoid isolated areas.
4. Keep emergency numbers handy
5. Self-defense: Learn basic self-defense techniques to protect yourself.
6. Report incidents: not to hesitate to report any incidents or harassment to the authorities concerned.
7. Stay safe online: Be cautious in using google and avoid sharing personal information.

The programme was graced by the presence of our Honourable Dean Dr V.V.S.B. Bangar Raju, Principal, Dr. A. R. K. Reddy, Vice Principal P. Ch. V. Subbarao and IQAC Co-ordinator Dr. A. K. Tripathi and all women faculty members. The event aimed to empower our female students with required knowledge and confidence to protect themselves and promote a safer community.
