“Society for Promotion of Academic Excellence in Schools” (SPAES), an organisation promoted by educationist Chukka Ramaiah, is conducting a talent search for students of Class V to IX .Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan hosted SPAES (Society for Promotion of Academic Excellence in Schools) classes held at our school. SPAES was conceived by Mr. Ramaiah to enable students to excel in their academic pursuits in an organised manner. In this valedictory function SPAES chairman Sri Chukka Ramaiah stated that teachers should quite thinking skills among students by linking the lessons into the real life situation. If this is done in class students understand concept quickly 40% of the total syllabus is the main concept of the question paper. So those whoever awareness of surrounding only become progressing or ideal students.

Subhapradam is summer program conducted by Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam every year for school children who passed 7th, 8th and 9th classes. Camp is aimed at imparting ethical values among children. The coaching classes will be conducted daily between 5 am and 7 pm touching all subjects, including personality development, sports, yoga and meditation. the participants will be given free shelter and food during coaching camp adding that the demand for the camp has been growing every year as it mainly focusing on restoring human values.It is a value based programme in our school to mould pupils at a tender age towards moral and value based programme. Numerous students participated from nook and corner of the district to imbibe values be in their life to change through spirituality.
Sri Prakash Vidyaniken is pioneer of all schools in scientific temper among the students. So the school celebrated scienceday on February 28th to explore new horizons, innovative ideas and to develop a passion for science among the students. In these process many Prakashites exihibited their projects with proper explanation.
Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan stands first to expose all the traditions and cultures to the prosterities. In this process during the month of December the school conduct cultural, literary and sports competitions for the students in and around East Godavari District and rewards the winners with a cash prize on the day of sankranti sambaralu. On that day the students celebrate the festival in a village which is uniquely built in the school ground. A chief guest inaugurates the village in which one can witness- a school, grama sabha, a park, a solar plant, a water tank, a temple, a few huts, bullock cart, cocks, mounds of grain, people winnowing it, girls playing kolatam moving around bonfire and decorated with rangoli everywhere. One can also see haridas and men disguised in some mycological characters like lord Rama, Hanuman etc.
Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan – Rajamahendravaram Celebrates annual day – JOSH as an integral part of the school activity. Last year it was celebrated on 27th January. It was an occasion filled with excitement and jubilance. The distinguished guest who graced the occasion were Janchai Yingprayoon, Deputy Directory, Suan Sunanda Rajabhat University, Naina Jaishwal, No. 1 Table Tennis Player of South East Asia, Sudhakar Agarkar, Professor and Dean at VPM’s Academy of International Education and Research Thane and M. Mutyala Naidu, Vice –Chancellor, Adhikavi Nannaya University Rajamahendravaram. Students who excelled in curricular and co-curricular activities ware awarded prizes and the best house was rewarded with a rolling shield. The cultural show was woven around the theme, ‘Around the world in 90 minutes’ which depicted many places and events of historic importance in the world. The students enthralled the gathering with their performances in the show.
Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan is a physician by training who went into the Indian Administrative Service in the aftermath of the Emergency and failure of the Janata Experiment. He was a topper in the IAS exam. During the 16 years of distinguished public service in various capacities, he acquired a formidable reputation in the erstwhile State of Andhra Pradesh.

As Joint Collector, he created full and permanent employment for 8000 youth from displaced families of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.
As Collector of Prakasm District, he was instrumental in the creation of a record 2,00,000 acres of irrigation, the largest such program with direct participation of people.
As Collector of East Godavari District, he spearheaded the reconstruction of drainage and irrigation network in Krishna and Godavari deltas.
International day of yoga is also called as the world yoga day. United Nations General Assembly has declared 21st of June as an International Yoga Day on 11th of December in 2014. Yoga in India is considered to be around 5,000 year old mental, physical and spiritual practice. Yoga was originated in India in ancient time when people were used of meditation to transform their body and mind. Launching a particular date of practicing yoga all across the world and celebrating as yoga day was initiated by the Indian Prime Minister to the United Nations General Assembly.
The celebration of the event International day of yoga is supported by various global leaders. It is celebrated by the people of more than 170 countries including USA, China, Canada, etc. It is celebrated on international level by organizing the activities like yoga training campus, yoga competitions and so many activities to enhance the awareness about yoga benefits among common public all over the world. It is celebrated to let people know that regular yoga practice lead to the better mental, physical and intellectual health. It positively changes the lifestyle of the people and increase the level of well-being.
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (SBA) (or Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) or Clean India Mission in English) is a campaign in India that aims to clean up the streets, roads and infrastructure of India's cities, smaller towns, and rural areas. The objectives of Swachh Bharat include eliminating open defecation through the construction of household-owned and community-owned toilets and establishing an accountable mechanism of monitoring toilet use. Run by the Government of India, the mission aims to achieve an Open-Defecation Free (ODF) India by 2 October 2019, the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi, by constructing 90 million toilets in rural India at a projected cost of ?1.96 lakh crore (US$30 billion). The mission will also contribute to India reaching Sustainable Development.
The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC MACAY) is a voluntary youth movement which promotes intangible aspects of Indian cultural heritage by promoting Indian classical music, classical dance, folk music, yoga, meditation, crafts and other aspects of Indian culture; it is a movement with chapters in over 300 towns all over the world. SPIC MACAY was established by Dr. Kiran Seth in 1977 at IIT Delhi.
Kiran Seth a young graduate from IIT Kharagpur, was studying for his doctorate at the Columbia University, New York, when he chanced to attend a Dhrupad concert by Ustad Nasir Aminuddin Dagar and Ustad Zia Fariddudin Dagar at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, New York City.
