As a part our school circurruh we visited weavers colony which is in mangavaram road in payakaraopeta. Our children had such a wonderful experience when they went two weavers colony as an extended learning. The children were excited to see the different types of industries among them. Weaving clothes is a small scale industry. Mr. Satyanarayana garu explained the children about the process of changing a fiber into fabric (a sick thread into silk sareee) in this process he explained boiling, dyeing, spinning, street, sizing of yarn etc.,Mr. Satyanarayana garu explained the children warp and weft and how they intersect each other. The children also learnt how they design the different styles on the saree to weave a sareee takes neatly one weak or based on the design it takes nearly 30 to 60 days. The children also understood the lifestyle of weavers and their role in the society.
