As part of field trip children of Grade – 5 went to the APSRTC complex and Depo. Students came to know about the breath analyser which is used for checking whether the drivers have consumed alcohol or not. Students also came to know about the fuel which is used and the servicing done to the buses. Every day every bus is checked in the evening for the next day. Students came across different types of machines like cutting machines, drilling machines Jockies for different purposes. Students showed interest in knowing about different kinds of tools like ring spanner, D.E spanner, wrench, nuts and bolts and how they are used. Children posed questions regarding the mileage of the buses and also enquired about the timings of the different buses in the enquiry counter present in the complex. They also watched the buses standing in their allotted places and they also showed enthusiasm in knowing about the bus – pass facility given to the students by APSRTC. Children observed the workers with enthusiasm while they are repairing the parts of the buses. Finally, they felt happy for exploring and learning new things from this field trip.
