Pongal is harvest festival, a traditional thanks giving occasion to nature. The students of SPVN- Tuni celebrated pongal with joy in school with teachers and parents. The celebrations included traditional poems, songs and rangolis. These gave the opportunity for students to learn about culture and traditions. The students learnt the importance of farming and value of food with the help of farmer who was our special guest today. The students participated enthusiastically in all activities to promote pongal festival among community. The theme of these celebrations is “we thank nature and respect farmers”.The students took an oath that they will not waste food in respect to the farmers.
