National postal week

On account of NATIONAL POSTAL WEEK from 9th to 14th October. Sri.Sri Ramulu, Asst.Superintendent of postal department, Kakinada, Samalkota Division, was in invited as “Athidi” by Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan to create awareness among the students about the uses and importance of postal department and its services. He has explained several issues like saving schemes, Sukanya schemes, printing of stamps with personal photos, various kinds of communicative medium and their uses in this social advanced technological world. Students felt happy for this edutainment as they were aware of many issues of postal department. 

National Sports Day

National sports day is celebrated on 29th august making the birthday of Dhyan Chand, the hockey player who won gold medals in Olympics of r 6 times for India in the years 1928,1932&1936.He scored over 400 goals in his career from 1926 to 1948.As it is said without a ‘GURU’ no child’s inherent talents are excelled. Dhyan Chand was trained by Pankaj Gupta his first coach who made him master in ball dribbling & goal scoring.On this day we invited an Athidi Mr.M.Ram Kumar Sifu for Ninja Dragons Sports Academy who is best coach for boxing and chess boxing. He enlightened students how health can be preserved and enhanced by having body fitness. Fitness can be achieved through sports. He also motivated many students to have interest in sports. A boxing performance was given by his students to advocate the need of self- defence through sports. The students enjoyed the boxing performance and got inspired to take up sports activities. The day ended with our guest congratulating the winners with mementos for the games in which they participated on this occasion.

Teachers Day -2017

Sri Prakash Vidhya Niketan always comes forward to open up the inherent talents of the children and teachers to inbuilt in them versatility. The teachers’ day is a special day for the appreciation of teachers and includes celebration to honor them for their special contribution.As part of this, teachers are made to participate in many activities like panel discussion, singing, dancing, skits and games. The panel discussion was conducted this year in the topic “Should Teachers Read Books Other Than Their Prescribed Subject Books”. Teachers from all over campuses participated in various games and final panel discussion was conducted on 4th September .on this day all the panel members have spoken on the questions posed. It went on very interesting and finally all are given book mementos.Many teachers have participated in many skits which are thought provoking. Winners are given book mementos.As it is said “A book is a gift you can open again and again”. Every year teachers at Sri Prakash are gifted with a book and this year a book named “Seven Habits for Highly Effective People” was given. All teachers enjoyed and made the evening a remarkable day.On 5th September students of class VIII, IX & X are given a golden opportunity to teach students of lower classes just like their teachers who do regularly.  While the selected student teachers were conducting the classes’ external observers from Payakarao Peta branch have attended their demos and allotment of marks was done. Each student teacher has tried to do their best by not only taking up classes seriously but also maintained discipline and decorum of the school.

 Rubella vaccination programme

The Me seals - Rubella vaccination programme under taken by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India was conducted successfully at SRI PRAKASH VIDYA NIKETAN, TUNI on 1st & 2nd of August, 2017 where students of classes nursery to X were given preventive vaccination. Conducted under the personal supervison of Dr.Rajasekar, Medical Officer, N.Suravaram this programme is an initiative by the government to give preventive vaccination for all the children in the age group of 9 months to 15 years.  Earlier the students were educated on the importance of the vaccine through circulars from the health departments and talks by the science teachers in the classes. A group of health workers administered the vaccine to the students. External observers deployed by WHO for MR Campaign, Dr.Vara Prasad and Dr.Bhavani too came to inspect the programme. They interacted with the students as Athidis and spoke on the need of prevention against diseases. Mr.Rajasekar who happens to be an alumni of Sri Prakash, Tuni was overwhelmed to visit the same school he studied and to receive the memento from his teacher Mr.Reddy. 

       With only 49 absentees out of 683 in High school level for the vaccination programme, the event was a huge success. 

“Bala Natya Mani”

T.Ananya of Class 7th (Spaes) of the Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Tuni has bagged “Bala Natya Mani” award for her remarkable performance in Bharatnatyam, which was organized by Bharat Arts Academy and ABC Foundation at Ravindra Bharathi Stadium, Hyderabad on 2nd October, 2017. She also got her name registered in “Cultural Book of Records” and “Bharat Book of Records” for her dance performance as one of the participants among 222 members who performed for 222 minutes.
