Our student’s Triple Dhamaka Achievement

“Good, better, best. Never let it rest. Until your good is better and your better is best.”

Our Sri Prakash Junior College student Kum. P. Rama Lakshmi made the above said axiom come true. Her interest towards athletics made her the muscle of her “mental will” become stronger and confident in achieving her dreams.

She achieved 3rd position in 100 meters running race, for under 19, conducted by School Games Federation for State Level selections, at Bullayya College Grounds, Visakhapatnam, on 31st October, 2017.

She bagged 1st position in High Jump and 2nd position in Long Jump events at AMAL College grounds, Anakapalli on 1st November and got selected to represent at Nationals.

Participation of girls in athletics is the need of the hour as they need to build confidence both physically and socially.

Selection for National Level in Rope Skipping.

We at Sri Prakash strongly believe “Every educational institution has to arrange for outdoor games and sports for its students.”  That’s the reason for giving equal importance for games and sports in our academic calendar.

Our prakashites gave an excellent performance in Sports Meet recently conducted by School Games Federation in Narayanapuram, West Godavari District, in all the events like Rope Skipping, Basket Ball, Chess, Weight Lifting and Cricket.

In Rope Skipping Kum. K. Kavya not only got first prize but also got selected for Nationals to be conducted at Delhi on 31st December, 2017.  She also won the first prize in Group Rope Skipping event and received a certificate for her excellent performance in Chess.

Kum. P. Devi bagged 2nd prize in Rope Skipping and a certificate of excellence in Chess.

Kum. P. Padmini won 1st prize in group Rope Skipping as well as a certificate of excellence in Cricket.

This all round representation in both individual and group activities really shows all round development of the students in our educational institutions.

Hockey Selections:

“Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships.”

Our prakashites exhibited their teamwork and intelligence in recently conducted inter Junior College, under-19 hockey tourney at Visakhapatnam Bullayya college grounds.

From the boys’ squad Chy. P. Rajesh and Chy. S. Sai Charan got selected to represent Sate Hockey Team. From the girls’ squad Kum. S. Sai Shrija, Kum. P. Devi, Kum. Sravanti, Kum. K. Kavya Sudha, Kum. I. Lahari, Kum. M. Vasanti and Kum. B. Neeraja got selected to represent State Hockey Team.

They will participate in the state level tournament to be held at Chandragiri in Chittoor district from 20th to 22nd of this month.

We at Sri Prakash believe, “An happy participation in Sports and Games makes a child to participate well in his class room activities also.”
