Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Tuni celebrated the 5th International Yoga day grandly on June 21. On this occasion, Dr. Ch. Ravi Kiran, Asst. Surgeon, Government Area Hospital, Tuni was invited as guest to host the Yoga day. He addressed the students to know the importance of yoga in daily life. Keeping in mind the theme of this year’s Yoga day ‘Yoga for Harmony and Peace’, he delivered the speech to motivate the students to avoid the junk food. He also suggested that doing Yoga practice every day gives peace of mind and gives beauty to the mind. He said that it is fortunate to be a guest to this occasion as once upon a time he was an alumni of this school. Continuing his speech, he motivated the students to goal and serve the society by becoming professionals.

Later Sri Ch.Murthy , Yoga Trainer started various Yoga Practices with ‘Omkaram’. Under his guidance and supervision all the students performed a number of Yoga practices along with the trained students of Yoga. He also motivated the students by chanting a number of slokas which are the part and parcel of Yoga. He emphasized on working for reaching “beautiful state” by doing yoga but not suffer with “suffering stage” by leading a sedentary life. 

At the end of the programme , Dr. Ch. Ravi Kiran, guest of this day was honoured with memento by the HM.  All the students and the teachers of Sri Prakash had a healthy beginning as they experienced the success of the 5th Yoga day celebrations.
