Class VIII students of Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Tuni visited the “Light of Love” an orphanage and school run by NASA (Nazaruth Association for Social Awareness) at Jyothi Nagar, Tuni, on 25th July. This visit was a part of their English Lesson “Oliver asks for more” where the life of orphan is discussed. The students came to interact with Mr.N.Sony wood, director who gave a detailed account of the organization.
It was started in 1983 by late Dr.N.C.H.Premdas and his wife Dr.Jyothi Premdas with 45 children which has grown into a vast campus of 5 acres accommodating 450 children, mostly orphans. The inmates here receive schooling, boarding along with nutritious food and personal care. The children are taken care of till they stand on their own.
Our students distributed pens, old clothes, books and eatables to the children at home and interacted with them with love and affection. We showed our gratitude by presenting a memento to Mr.N.Sonywood.
