Our Grade 1 students enjoyed a wonderful field trip to the school garden, where learning came alive in nature. From tiny herbs to towering trees, the children explored the beautiful surroundings with great excitement, observing a variety of plants, flowers, and trees.
During the visit, the students identified different types of plants, including trees, shrubs, herbs, climbers, and potted plants. They touched the rough bark of trees, admired colourful leaves and blooming flowers, and noticed the different shapes and sizes of plants. They also learned that plants need air, water, sunlight, and soil to grow healthy and strong.
The field trip was a fun and enriching hands-on learning experience. It helped the children understand the basic parts of a plant and the importance of caring for nature. The young learners returned to the classroom with happy memories, curious minds, and a deeper appreciation for protecting the environment.
