National Mathematics day is organized on 22 Dec 2022 , the birthday of Shri Srinivasa Ramanujan, the great mathematical genius who made exemplary contribution to Mathematics. The Mathematics day is celebrated with objective of creating awareness on the importance of mathematics in day to day life situations and also in order to inculcate interest among students at mathematics. As a part of the celebrations, various competitions are held and the selected groups are given chance to participate in Live quiz programme, exhibition on maths tricks - puzzles , Sudoku and talks on Mathematics. At end of the programme, Mathematics department gave away prizes to the winners in the closing session.
