Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan came alive with vibrant celebrations on the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami, led by the enthusiastic Nursery students and staff. The festival, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil and the end of darkness, was observed with great devotion and joy.
The children, dressed in colourful ethnic attire, beautifully portrayed characters from Krishnaβs life such as Radha, Krishna, Balarama, Kuchela, Yashoda, and Vasudeva. A special cradle was prepared for baby Krishna, and the children took turns gently rocking it while singing sweet lullabies β a touching way to express their love and devotion.
One of the most awaited moments was the traditional Matka event. An earthen pot filled with curd, butter, milk, and honey was hung high, and the little Krishnas of the school eagerly participated. Their cheerful attempts to reach the Matka filled the air with excitement, laughter, and applause from teachers and peers.
The celebration ended on a joyful note, leaving behind smiles, devotion, and fond memories of the special day.
