As part of our curriculum, our young learners embarked on an exciting field trip to the railway station, bus stop, traffic signals, and zebra crossing. The visit transformed everyday sights into meaningful learning experiences.
The children eagerly observed different modes of road transport, including cars, motorbikes, rickshaws, auto rickshaws, and buses. They identified the number of wheels on each vehicle, compared their sizes, and discussed how many passengers each could carry.
A major highlight of the trip was watching the train at the railway station. The children excitedly noticed that the train runs on tracks, has many wheels, and travels much faster than road vehicles. They confidently differentiated between vehicles that move on roads and those that move on railway tracks.
The visit also introduced them to important road safety rules. They observed traffic signals and learned that red means stop, yellow means wait, and green means go. They also understood the importance of using the zebra crossing to cross the road safely.
Filled with curiosity, excitement, and joyful learning, the children returned with new knowledge, wonderful memories, and a better understanding of transportation and road safety. It was truly a day of exploration, observation, and learning beyond the classroom!
