As part of our experiential learning programme, our grade 2 students visited Payakaraopeta Y Junction to gain practical knowledge about road safety. During the visit, they observed the important role of traffic police, understood the purpose of traffic lights and road signs, and learned the correct use of zebra crossings for safe road crossing. The visit helped students understand the importance of following traffic rules, practising safe pedestrian behaviour, and being responsible road users. This field trip provided students with meaningful real-life learning experiences and reinforced the importance of being safety-conscious citizens. Road safety is everyoneβs responsibility. Follow traffic rules, use zebra crossings, and help make our roads safe for all.
