Our Grade 5 students visited the Fire Station as part of their experiential learning journey, where they got the opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-life experiences.
During the visit, the students learned about fire safety, emergency preparedness, firefighting equipment, and the procedures followed during rescue operations. They explored the fire engine and other essential equipment used by firefighters and understood how each tool plays an important role during emergencies.
The students also interacted with the firefighters, listened to their experiences, and learned about the courage, discipline, teamwork, alertness, and quick decision-making required in their profession. The visit helped them understand the importance of staying calm during emergencies and following safety instructions responsibly.
It was an engaging and informative experience that strengthened their awareness, observation, communication, and life skillswhile helping them appreciate the invaluable service of our firefighters.
A meaningful experience where curiosity met real-life learning!
