As part of its unwavering commitment to creating a safe, informed, and empowering learning environment, Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan successfully organised a Women and Child Safety Legal Awareness Programme for the girl students of Classes VI to X.

The awareness session was designed to educate and empower young girls with essential knowledge of their legal rights, personal safety, and the support systems available to them. The programme focused on significant social and legal issues, including sexual harassment, domestic violence, child protection, women trafficking, and personal safety awareness.

The programme was led by distinguished resource persons:
•    Sri Mohammed Ali, Sub-Inspector of Police, Payakaraopeta
•    Smt. Bueala Rani, Grama Mahila Samrakshana Karyadarsi (GMSK)
Addressing the students, the officials highlighted the importance of personal safety, self-confidence, legal awareness, and the courage to report any form of abuse or exploitation. They explained the legal protections available to women and children and encouraged students to seek timely assistance whenever required.

To strengthen students' awareness of emergency support services, the officials introduced the following Government of India emergency helpline numbers and explained their significance:
•    Child Helpline – 1098 (Children in Need of Care and Protection)
•    Women's Helpline – 181 (Domestic Violence & Women in Distress)
•    Women's Safety Helpline – 1091 (Women-Related Emergencies)
•    National Emergency Response Support System – 112 (Immediate Police, Fire & Medical Assistance)

The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students, who actively engaged with the resource persons by asking questions and discussing practical safety measures. The programme was also attended by the entire female teaching faculty, reflecting the institution's collective commitment to fostering a secure, respectful, and supportive educational environment.

At Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, education extends beyond academics to nurturing responsible, confident, and socially aware citizens. Such awareness initiatives play a vital role in equipping students with the knowledge, confidence, and resilience needed to safeguard themselves and contribute to a safer society.
