The Grade 2 students went on an exciting field trip to a nearby market to explore different sections and learn about everyday goods and services. The visit gave them a wonderful opportunity to observe real-life activities and understand how a market works.
During the visit, the children explored various parts of the market. They saw fresh fruits like apples, bananas, and oranges, and colourful flowers beautifully arranged in shops. They also observed different vegetables such as carrots, potatoes, and leafy greens. The children visited the fish market where they saw a variety of fresh fish and learned how they are sold. In addition, they explored a clay and clay pots shop, where they saw handmade pots, diyas, and other traditional items made by artisans.
The field trip was both educational and enjoyable. It helped the children understand the importance of markets in daily life and appreciate the work of farmers, fishermen, and potters who bring these goods to us.
