Christmas eve was celebrated with great enthusiasm and zeal at Sriprakash, Tuni. For this Celebrations Rev. G. Madhu, Pastor of SMB Church, Tuni  was invited as the guest. He narrated the story of the birth of Christ and the message of life. The kids were more excited about the celebration of the fest. Our tiny tots of Kindergarten spread the essence of Christmas spirit by dressing up as Santaclaus and angels. Grades-1 and 2 students brought the festive mood to the campus with their mesmerizing carols on Jesus. The special attractions of the Celebration was Christmas tree made by reusing water bottles and the wooden sledge. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was not only amply visible on the faces of the children during the decoration of the Christmas tree but also reverberating in their carols and dancing to the tunes of jingling Merry Christmas.

Learning Outcome: To observe and name the different types of plants.

Today our LKG children have gone to a field trip to our payakaraopeta campus to see different types of plants. Children have observed plants such as curry leaves, Ginger, Grass, Rose, Ilachi, Bhumi and Boungainvilla plants and mango, banana and jack fruit trees. On seeing all the trees and plants, children could identify their features such as shape, size and colour. Children  have noticed that some trees are big and some trees are small, some trees have big leaves and some have small leaves while some have huge woody trunks. Children have observed planting a plant. Children have observed how to grow plants in waste things like tyres, water bottles, oil tins and pipes. This trip has made the children know the different types of plants and their names and parts. Children have really enjoyed the trip by exploring nature.

L.O: Field trip to brick factory and different kinds of houses.

Grade – 1 students went on a field trip to brick factory to know how bricks are prepared to use in building houses. The workers of the factory explained the process to the children. They showed the materials used to make the bricks i.e., bricks black, red and sandy clay, husk and logs of wood. First they pour the three types of clay in an area and add water, after that they use tractor to mix. They add the husk and flour of wood. They make bricks with that mixture using brick block boxes. After two days they arrange bricks under the sun light to dry for ten days. After drying, they burn them for 15 days in a kiln to make the bricks strong. Children learnt the preparation of bricks and how they are useful in constructing house walls. They saw different kinds of houses like huts, tiled houses,  buildings and flats too. They identified the materials that are used to build them.

Learning Outcome: To know the services of the post office and how we connect with our friends and relatives  using their services.

The head post master of Tuni Post office explained the functioning of the post office. He showed the postage such as post cards , inland letters and envelopes. He also explained the register post service available to track and send important documents. He also made the students  understand the way they can send  parcels through postal service  by paying the charges of ₹20 up to 1kg. Children understood that if anyone wants to send letters or parcels to their friends or relatives  they must write the  address along with the pincode. Children learnt the way they can deposit money, send money and pay telephone bills through postal service. They observed all the counters such as savings deposit counter and money order counter. Students understood that the details we send through postal service are kept confidential and are never shared to anyone. Now a days people are using internet service for most needs. So portal services are used by fewer people.

Learning Outcome: Understanding the need for local self government. 

Students of Grade - IV went on a field trip to Municipal Office. Children came to know that it is a local body Government. The Children met the municipal commissioner Mr. P.V.N. Raju. He explained the duties of the municipality like water supply, collection of garbage, cleaning roads, maintaining street lights and the market etc. The children came to know that the birth and death certificates are issued by the municipality.  They spoke to the revenue officials to know about different taxes such as property tax and water tax paid by the the people and how people are penalized on failing to pay the taxes in time. They also met the municipal chairperson Mr. Balu, who explained that Tuni has 30 wards. Each ward has a counselor.  He also shared the process of elections to elect the chairperson and counselors in municipalities . The children came to know that our town Tuni is a Grade – II municipality. This trip made the students realise the need for a local self government.

The ‘Kriya Children festival’, State level inter school cultural competitions conducted this year on 25th& 26th November at JNTU, Kakinada, brought the same enthusiasm and zeal among the students just the way it brings every year. 
     For sub juniors, 10 different competitions were held on Day 2 Kriya offered best of platforms in different areas for the students to showcase their talents. The competitions ranged from playlets, solo singing, group dancing, drawing, clay moulding, storytelling, spelling, project works etc.
    From Sri Prakash primary Tuni 24 students participated in various competitions. Secured 3rd place in playlet by T.Chetan Gowrav, Ch.Yasaswi Manjula Sowmya, Y.Surya Sahasra, K.Meghana sri chaitra, P.Sri Charvi and D.Saratna Reddy. 
      The winners were congratulated by the school management for their sincere efforts.

We are glad to share that SPVN-PRIMARY, TUNI students participated in different competitions such as Fancy Dress, Drawing, Bhagavad-Gita slokas conducted from 3rd November 2023 to 8th December 2023 by Rotary Club - Tuni under the title Rangam 2023 our student Chy.M.Poojitha of U.K.G Rose secured 2nd place in fancy dress in Sub juniors she received her certificate and memento on 8th December 2023 in the valedictory function which was conducted at Sai Utsav Function Hall, Payakaraopeta.

Learning outcome: Applying the knowledge of money and  measuring units in real life.
 
Our children were on a field trip to a super market in P.R.Peta based on money and measurements. We visited the super market and observed grocery items, toys, cosmetics and so on. They indentified the standard units of measurement of weight and capacity. They also identified the price tag on each item. They learnt how to weigh things using the weighing machine. They also observed and learned about the electronic billing process. It is certainly exciting experiential learning for the little ones to understand  money and measurements.
