‘Makar Sankranti’- a gaiety festival we celebrate as the harvest season begins. The supremacy of culture and tradition is grandly celebrated and observed by Sri Prakash's fraternity, students, and their families. Our students have gladly enjoyed organizing the displays of our cultural practices like Bhogi mantalu (bonfire), Bommala Koluvu and Bhogi-pallu as a reflection of festive spirits and unity. They have also graced and ornamented the ambience of our school with colourful Muggulu (Rangolis), kites, flowers, sugarcane, paddy spikes, mango, banana and coconut leaves, Gobbemmalu and Gobbillu. To show gratitude and appreciation towards our Gods of nature (Sun, rain) cows, and farmers, children have marvellously portrayed the roles of Haridas, Gangireddu Jangama Dora, Sodemma, Rytanna (farmer) Lord Venkateswara and Goddess Godadevi. To bring awareness about the significance and benefits of our healthy traditional food, students have exhibited the festive delicacies in various vintage and ethnic utensils, bowls and equipment. Guests are invited and welcomed in an exceptional and auspicious manner by our students. They have cheerfully offered guests our traditional sweets, desserts, and many scrumptious food items. The celebrations of Bhogi, Sankranti, and Kanuma are celebrated by our students with immense enthusiasm, great collaboration and coordination.

Christmas is the festival which inspires the spirit of sharing and caringa. Our  pre -primary children celebrated Christmas in all it's joy and happiness. The programme started with an interesting note on Christmas and why it is celebrated colourfully. A traditional Telugu story telling depicted the scenes of Jesus Christ in the form of BURRA KATHA. The mesmerising carols sung by the choir were enchantingly resounding . The students danced to the melodious tunes of " Jingle bells" and" We wish you a merry Christmas ". The dazzling entry of Santa Claus added to the joy and excitement of the little ones. The boundless Joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of the cute children.
Christmas celebrations nurture not only academic growth but also the development of well-rounded, socially concious individuals.

Joy of Treating Togetherness http://sriprakash.org/sri4/index.php/news-cbse/cbse/2384-joy-of-treating-togetherness http://sriprakash.org/sri4/index.php/news-cbse/cbse/2384-joy-of-treating-togetherness

Colours are the smiles of nature.
The essence of these colours is portrayed gaily by the students of Sri Prakash today in the form of Food Sharing Day. Kindergarten students were beautifully dressed up in Pink, Green, and Red, symbolising being active and remaining relaxed. Grade 1 was in Yellow -symbolising mixed thoughts and actions whereas Grade 2 was joyfully dressed in Blue. The joy of sharing food is a timeless tradition that connects us all.
Sharing a meal creates a sense of togetherness and strengthens bonds. Students enjoyed their day by sharing their food items with their companions and enjoyed the part of the day playing games, singing, and dancing.
It was a memorable day for the children, who signed off with joy and laughter at the dispersal time.

Experiential learning is the process of learning by doing. By engaging students in hands -on experiences and reflections, they are better able to connect the knowledge learned in the classroom to the real-world situations. Grade 1 children as part of their learning about people who help us in our daily life, we invited a cross section of professionals to speak to our students about their roles in our daily lives.
