The main objective of this activity is students should work in teams to find out more about a raw material and its journey to the user. Students interviewed Mr. Ramana, Mr. Appala Raju, Mr. Venkateswara Rao and Mr. Krishna who are dealing with various products from the Food Industry. They were enthusiastic to be a part of preparing dairy products too. All the students took active role in this trip.

To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Krishnashtami was celebrated with full fervour, as Sri Prakash hosted traditional festivities and kids aged two to seven were beautifully dressed up as Krishna, Bala rama, Radha, Vasudeva, and Yasodha. The school was well decorated with peacock feathers, pots. The idol of little krishna was placed in a cradle. It was indeed a splendid colourful programme where the children sang songs and explained the importance of Krishnastami. They enthralled the visitors with their dance performances as well during the janmashtami celebrations. The students were overjoyed when they broke the “Dahi Handi”. The celebration was flowered into a grand success, owing to the absolutely zealous participation of the students and the spellbound parents.

All the school captains, vice-captains and all the four House captains and vice captains of Chola,Kakatiya,Maratha and Maurya have been given slashes according to their categories by the Guests of honour Dr.Vidya Sagar Behra, Dr.Padma Priya and Joint Secretary Sri Ch. Vijay Prakash. They took oath to execute their duties in a calm and peaceful manner. The Joint Secretary, Vijay Prakash addressed the selected council and he suggested them to perform their duties well. The Senior Principal, M.V.V.S.Murthy mentioned about this prestigious programme and advised the council to work collectively in disciplined manner. The Guests of honor were spellbound by the Investiture Ceremony and they appreciated the programme.

Children praised the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives with Patriotic songs. The dignitaries enlightened the children with their valuable words and the Guests of honor, Dr.Vidya Sagar Behra and Dr.Padma Priya inspired the children with their academic  experiences. Dr.Vidya Sagar Behra advised the children to show their uniqueness in their work to reach the pinnacle in their career. Dr. Padma Priya quoted in her speech that students should set goals at the beginning of their academic career. The Joint Secretary, Sri Ch. Vijay Prakash mentioned that children should think freely and independently and he expected the children that they should work heart and soul. The Senior Principal, Sri M.V.V.S.Murthy stated that Independency must begin from an individual to the society. The Joint secretary, Sri Ch.Vijay Prakash rewarded the alumni with cash prize and presented the mementoes to the guest of honour. All Incharges participated in this occasion and they concluded Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav with fruit distribution

Sri Venkatesh Kandula, a paleontologist, numismatist and philatelist was invited as our guest on 12th Aug, 2022 to address the students of CBSE VI and VII at Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Payakaraopeta. 

Venkatesh Kandula, is also an electrical engineer and works as Manager in Deccan fine chemicals. He was inspired from his grandfather, G. Satyaraju and developed habit of collecting stamps, coins and fossils, who won many awards and research articles published in Numismatist Digest. He enlighted the students with his coin collection and fossils. Children observed different kinds of coins and fossils and raised many doubts. They were excited to know about financial history of coins and origin of fossils. Venkatesh.K intelligibly explained students about various kingdoms and introduction of their own coins nearly 2300 years ago, also fossils from our telugu states through power point presentation. Students were very much involved during his lecture as he as explained the topic by quoting the examples first and then took them into the subject and then students came out with beautiful questions to which he answered all the questions patiently. At the last students expressed their gratitude to Venkatesh Kandula Garu for his Valuable information. Head Mistress Smt. G. Satya Vardhani expressed utmost reverence to Sri Venkatesh Kandula for unveiling  his information and collection to the students , by honouring him with a memento.

This case-based study can be organized  to develop their observational skills. Students have been taken to various places in Visakhapatnam such as Submarine Museum where students can improve their scientific knowledge, Air-craft Museum where the prakashites dream of flying, Lumbini Park in which they are very close to nature and finally they spend at Rama Naidu studio in which they observe skill of art and enjoy the artificial settings.

Our Prakashites seek the blessings of Goddess Saraswathi to get enlightened with knowledge. The ritual of initiating education to children is known as Akshar – Abhyasam which is one of the famous rituals of Vasanth Panchami. The children kept their educational resources near the statue of Goddess Saraswathi for ceremonial worship. They rendered slokas with festive fervour. The prasadam was offered around. It was a joyous and memorable occasion for our children.

Schools across the country conduct puja during the morning assembly. To get success in the field of education, students of Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, Payakaraopeta have performed pooja and prayed the Goddess to shower her blessings on them.
